  3. Research. Before spending anytime reviewing the property or walking through it, take a look at the online reviews.  Does the property management company have good ratings?  Are there more disgruntled previous tenants than there are happy ones?  As always, take these reviews with a grain of salt, but at least you can get a general idea of people’s attitudes towards the property management company.  It’s also a good way to create some questions for the management team while you’re at their property.
